Out of Hours
To contact a doctor out of hours ring 01706 253300. Your call will be automatically transferred to an NHS Direct receptionist who will take basic details and then transfer you to a triage nurse. Wherever possible your enquiry will be dealt with over the phone and you will be encouraged to see your own doctor or nurse during normal surgery hours.

The Practice was formed in 1967. It moved into its current health centre premises in 1979. This surgery website is used to present all our patients with up to date news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you.

The Surgery

The Health Centre stands on Cowpe Road close to the centre of Waterfoot and the Rossendale countryside.The buildings have recently been refurbished and expanded offering you some of the best facilities available. There are up to date consulting rooms,an education suite and a first class minor operations theatre.There is a nice reception area for patients with access to toilets,baby changing facilities, public phone, TV information service,magazines for all ages, and a health monitor which you can use to measure your blood pressure, weight and other statistics.There is a large car park at the rear, which you are welcome to use. Please note that there are some spaces reserved solely for the use of the on call doctors and yellow lines for emergency vehicle access.
